Stanley "The Headhunter" Nandex — Founding President, CEO & Promoter, Headhunter KO Fight Promotion.
Headhunter KO Fight Promotion proudly acknowledges and celebrates a major milestone for combat sports in Papua New Guinea following a timely and historic sponsorship from the National Gaming Control Board (NGCB). This vital funding represents far more than standard event support; it is a direct investment into transforming amateur athletes into world-class professional fighters.
To match this high-level institutional support, Headhunter KO Fight Promotion has officially launched its establishment, assembling a powerhouse elite management team. The organization brings together PNG's top industry leaders across corporate marketing, television production, media promotion, and information technology. This corporate expertise directly complements the deep technical ring craft, global networks, and combat sports business acumen of Founding President, CEO, and Promoter Stanley "The Headhunter" Nandex.
While amateur kickboxing has long thrived across the country, Nandex emphasizes that the critical missing link has been a sustainable, high-caliber transition into the professional ranks.
"Our vision for Headhunter KO Fight Promotion is to build genuine, long-term career pathways for our athletes," said Nandex. "Many of our fighters come from challenging backgrounds and informal settlement communities, often missing out on formal educational opportunities. Sport offers them a second chance at life, a profession, and a platform to represent PNG on the world stage."
Beyond bringing decades of international fighting experience and world-class athletic contacts to the promotion, Nandex — who is also a devoted Christian and active church leader — stresses that physical preparation is only half the equation. He firmly attributes true success, inside and outside the ring, to spiritual grounding, moral integrity, and the fundamental discipline found in Jesus Christ.
With the financial backing of the NGCB and the corporate machinery of Headhunter KO Fight Promotion now fully operational, PNG's elite kickboxers can look forward to a structured, highly visible, and lucrative professional future.
